The way we access point of interest is
0:02
different from previous models like the
0:04
Mini3 Pro. We must now tap this icon on
0:07
the left of the screen for the three
0:09
intelligent flight modes grouped under
0:11
the name focus track. Spotlight, point
0:14
of interest, and attic track.
0:17
The three modes are only available when
0:20
the aircraft is flying.
0:22
The name of the modes appear in a small
0:24
window at the bottom of the screen. We
0:26
select the one to the right, point of
0:28
interest.
0:30
If the scene contains people or
0:32
vehicles, they will be identified with a
0:34
plus sign. Simply tap the icon to choose
0:37
one of them as a target. Objects,
0:40
landmarks, or buildings can also be
0:42
selected by drawing a box around them. A
0:46
yellow arrow will appear to specify the
0:48
direction and the speed. In the mini
0:51
repro, the orbiting speed was too slow
0:53
even when set a maximum value. Luckily,
0:56
it has now been increased. It is
0:59
possible to modify the speed during the
1:00
move by dragging the arrow which is
1:03
handy. We can then hit the green icon go
1:07
with point of interest. Most of the
1:09
settings for video are available. The
1:11
exposure and white balance can be set
1:13
either to auto or manual. There is a
1:16
choice of resolution for 1080p or 4K
1:20
with frame rates up to 60 frames per
1:22
second.
1:24
With the Mavic 4 Pro, when using the
1:26
wide lens, a higher 6K resolution is
1:29
also available.
1:31
The Mini4 Pro and the 3S have three
1:33
video color profiles, normal, DLOG, and
1:37
HLG. The Mavic 4 Pro has a fourth
1:39
option, DLOG, while the Flip only offers
1:43
normal and DLOG M.
1:47
For safety reasons, it is suggested to
1:49
set the obstacle avoidance systems to
1:51
break or bypass before starting the
1:54
moves.
1:55
The only model analyze here without
1:58
omnidirectional obstacle sensors is the
2:00
flip.
2:02
When using this model, ensure you fly
2:04
above all surrounding obstacles.
2:11
While using point of interest, the two
2:12
sticks of the remote controller can be
2:14
used to apply extra moves to the
2:16
rotation like getting closer or further
2:18
away from the target, ascending or
2:21
descending.
2:24
It is also possible to apply digital
2:26
zoom during the rotation using the left
2:29
wheel of the remote controller.
2:31
There will be a loss of resolution while
2:33
encoding at 4K unless you're using the
2:35
Mavic 4 Pro with a wide angle lens.
2:41
When aircraft is close to the maximum
2:43
allowed altitude, point of interest will
2:45
not work and an error message will
2:48
appear on the screen. In this case,
2:50
simply lower the altitude and try again.
